Mrs. Rivera tapping out!
    Nicole Rivera, NBCT
    Resource Room Teacher
    Washington Rose Elementary School
My name is Nicole Rivera and I am the Resource Room teacher at Washington Rose Elementary School.  I love to teach! I have been a teacher since 2003.  I am dual certified to teach both elementary education and students with disabilities.  I have a masters degree from Adelphi University, a bachelors degree from SUNY College at Old Westbury and an associates degree from Nassau Community College ( I love to learn too!) .  I am a Level 1 Certified Wilson Reading Systems teacher.  I am also trained in the Wilson Fundations program ( Grades K-2).  I have attended Columbia University's Writers Workshop.    I am also a National Board Certified Teacher (NBCT).
When I am not teaching, I enjoy reading and practicing antigravity yoga.  I am married and I have one child.  I grew up here on long island, in a small town called Seaford. Seaford is one of Roosevelt's BIGGEST football rivals... but I consider myself a Rough Rider!  I graduated from Seaford High School.  I am the oldest of 5 children.
