During the first week in February classes from Centennial Avenue School and Ulysses Byas Elementary School were hard at work on a special Valentine’s Day project.They created unique valentines that were distributed to Veterans in various hospitals and nursing homes through programs sponsored by both Councilwoman Dorothy Goosby and Nassau County Executive Ed Mangano.The children enjoyed creating their cards and wrote special messages of gratitude to the men and woman who have served and are currently serving in our military.
