    25 Book Campaign

    The annual Centennial Avenue School 25 book campaign kickoff was held on October 10, 2014. Students made an oath to read 25 books this year. After the oath, the students met the royal knight Mrs. Wasson (the art teacher at Washington Rose), dressed in her full armor. She explained that reading stories when she was a child inspired her to train and become a real life knight that wears armor and jousts. Grades k-6 created their own coat of arms that displays their favorite 4 genres. This interactive assembly was a great way to motivate the students to read!
