As the school year winds to an end, we celebrate our Pre-school students as they graduate and prepare for Kindergarten! Congratulations Pre-K!
Roosevelt Lady Rough Riders qualified for the New York State Championship in Track & Field. Beyona Monroe an 8th grader qualified for the High Jump by jumping 5 feet 3 inches! This height ranks her as the #1 High Jumper in Nassau County!!
Jevon Robinson has been accepted to the 2017 Bank of America Student Leader Program. This is now the 4th time a student from Roosevelt High School has been selected to represent Long Island at the weeklong Student Leaders Summit in Washington, D.C. Jevon will be completing a eight week paid internship at Hempstead's Empower Assist Care Network (E.A.C). Jevon, we are very proud of your hard work, we know you will represent Roosevelt well.
Students and staff in all five school participated in Red Nose Day, a nationwide fundraising event, to help children in need. We are proud of your efforts Roosevelt, and we LOVE those silly noses!

Under the direction of Ms. Wright, NBCT Roosevelt High School AP Chemistry students planned for and presented lessons to Washington Rose students. In collaboration with Ms. Beasley, the district's Elementary Science Curriculum Specialist, all of the students learned valuable science lessons.

Roosevelt administrators and mentor teachers, participated in a round table discussion with educators from all over Long Island, to talk about preparing pre-service teacher preparation. Roosevelt is so pleased to host student teachers from local universities.
On Monday, April 24th DMC from the iconic group Run DMC was a guest speaker at Roosevelt High School for the 100% Graduation by 2020 Initiative.
RHS student's Kyra Curtis and Elizabeth Fernandez, from Girl Scouts Troop 1718 will receive the Girl Scout Gold Award. They are the first Gold Awards Girl Scouts from Roosevelt High School.
A team of educators from Roosevelt High School joined educators from all over New York State at a state educators summit, where teams could work on ideas to enhance learning in their school and educational communities.
