Dear Roosevelt Staff, Enjoy your Spring Holiday!

Spring Break Letter

April 14, 2022

To the Roosevelt community,

It is indeed an honor to take this time to thank everyone in the District and surrounding community for such a successful school year thus far. Since the start of the school year, academic and extracurricular achievement has been our focus, and I would expect nothing less from a District teeming with unparalleled talent and capacity. As we head into our spring break, I, along with our Board of Education, would like to wish everyone a peaceful and restorative week off. Take this time to observe Easter, Passover, and a continued blessed Ramadan with friends and loved ones.

Spring break is a time to recharge, reenergize, and refocus. I encourage all of us to use this week-long break to enjoy a much needed, well-deserved reprieve from our academic pursuits and focus on our loved ones, participate in the hobbies that bring us joy, and, above all, practice self-care so that we may come back to school with a renewed sense of determination and enthusiasm.

Now is the time to urge those with travel plans for this spring break to practice safety measures. The effects of the pandemic are still present. Please take those precautions you feel comfortable with to help mitigate any spread of the virus. The academic health of our District is only as strong as the physical health of our community. We must continue to do our part to keep one another safe and healthy.

I wish you a healthy, safe, and enjoyable spring break, and I look forward to welcoming you all back with open arms upon your return to our halls on Monday, April 25. Let us use this break to recenter ourselves to finish out the 2022 school year Roosevelt strong; I am expecting “Great Things!”

Regards,

Dr. Deborah L. Wortham
