Happy Father's Day
To the Roosevelt Staff and Community:
I, along with the Roosevelt School District Board of Education, would like to take this opportunity to wish all of the fathers and father figures in our community a healthy and happy Father's Day. Although Father's Day only occurs once a year, I encourage all to recognize the integral role the fathers of our community play in molding our scholars into the visionaries of tomorrow.
The academic institutions within our community serve as our community's heartbeat; in that same vein, our parents are the backbone. It fills me with such immense joy and reassurance that when our students leave our schools each day, they are continuing to identify new ways to expand their minds, encouraged by their families to explore these passions. From the bottom of my heart, I thank our Roosevelt fathers for continuously showing up and engaging in this community. Your continued participation will help safeguard the academic experiences of your children.
In the same way, our young girls have their mothers and other female figures to look up to and aspire to be, the young men of our District have a tremendous support system composed of brilliant, intelligent, and resilient male figures. As I interact with the parents of our great community, I am continuously amazed by the exceptional parents that continue to foster a nurturing environment at home the same way the Roosevelt School District does within its schools. The Roosevelt School District believes in its young men and their capacity to contribute and elevate our society to new heights. We nurture that belief through our various programs, including our highly engaged and successful My Brother's Keeper chapter. I find great comfort in knowing that the work we do with My Brother's Keeper to augment the work being done in our classrooms is magnified tenfold by our community's fathers and father figures.
With all of the events that have been unfolding around us, it can be easy to lose sight of what and who is essential in our lives. Fathers play a critical role in the success of our children, and that fact cannot be overstated. Our community, education system, and District succeed because of the parents who entrust us and engage with us to develop the most fulfilling academic experience possible. So today, we recognize our District's fathers and father figures and the work they do every day to help the children and young adults of Roosevelt rise.
