RUFSD 2nd Vice President, Mr. Kenneth Ware

🎉 Roosevelt Leadership. A Stronger Voice for Our Schools.

The Roosevelt Union Free School District proudly congratulates Board of Education 2nd Vice President Kenneth Ware on his appointment to the REFIT Board of Directors!

REFIT—Reform Educational Financing Inequities Today—is a consortium of school districts advocating for a fairer distribution of New York State education aid. Its mission addresses a fundamental concern: every child deserves access to an excellent education, regardless of their community’s wealth.

REFIT works to reform school funding so that districts with greater student needs and limited local resources receive more equitable support, while addressing the heavy reliance on property taxes to make up gaps in state aid. This advocacy helps advance the resources schools need to serve students and expand educational opportunities.

Mr. Ware’s appointment brings Roosevelt’s voice to this important work, connecting our community to a shared effort to make school funding more responsive to students’ needs.

Please join us in congratulating Mr. Ware as he takes on this meaningful leadership role. We are proud to celebrate his service to Roosevelt and his commitment to educational opportunity! 💙💛
