Liberty Trip

The fifth graders from Ulysses Byas Elementary School had an exciting learning experience visiting the Statue of Liberty. As part of their PhD Science curriculum, students explored the concept of liberty and its importance in American history. The trip began with a thrilling ferry ride to Liberty Island, where students could see the statue up close and learn how it represents freedom and hope for people around the world. This hands-on experience helped bring their classroom lessons to life and deepened their understanding of the values the Statue of Liberty stands for. During their trip, they learned about the history and meaning of this famous monument, which stands as a symbol of freedom, hope, and opportunity for people around the world.
