Water Issue
Dear Roosevelt Union Free School District,
In response to the recent water main break affecting the Roosevelt area, we would like to provide the following updates to ensure the safety and well-being of our students, faculty, and staff:
- We have confirmed that there is ample water flow in each building.
- Our custodial staff is diligently working in each building to flush the system and run sinks to ensure no stagnant water remains in the pipes.
- As a precaution, our food services team has adjusted Monday’s menu to items that do not require water. They will also boil water for use in washing dishes.
As a result of these measures, all our buildings are safe for occupancy. If there are any changes, we will promptly notify you.

Due to the inclement weather forecast, the Roosevelt School District will transition to remote learning on Tuesday, February 13, 2024. Elementary, middle, and high school students are required to log into their respective Google Classroom accounts. This measure ensures the uninterrupted instruction.
In the interest of safety, our Security and Facilities personnel will maintain their regular schedules.
